John is a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Marquette, Michigan. In his thirty years of professional experience, he has served as a child care worker, a drug and alcohol abuse counselor, a program director in community based corrections, and a manager of day treatment programs for persons with severe mental illness. He was the Clinical Program Director for a community mental health board for twelve years.
Currently he is applying this approach in a family based treatment model for children referred from the Marquette Family Court. He is working with other researchers to initiate a clinical trial that will better understand ways in which boundary helps families connect. In response to requests from the local Big Brother/Big Sister program, John has recently completed work on a booklet for mentors titles "The Healing Power of Boundary: A Guide for Mentors." also available through this web site. |
